This leather, the result of an intensive drumming process that brings out its natural features, owes its name to the theme of the year of its creation: Africa. It is named after an African country.

First appeared in the collections: 1997

The story behind

An emblematic nautical feature since 1938, the Chaine d'Ancre appears on a men's bag for the first time. On this unlined leather bag, it acts as a buckle for adjusting the length of the shoulder strap and attaching it to the central compartment. The shine of the metal highlights the leather, while its elongated shape reflects that of a cabas bag. An ingenious leather fastening allows for easy storage of a laptop, water bottle, or folders, while an inside pocket invites you to tuck away your phone and other small essentials. Wear it over the shoulder or across the body like a modern sailor.
