As its name – borrowed from a southern Indian town – suggests, the raw hide comes from India. It is recognizable by its unique grain, obtained through boarding. This consists of rolling the leather against itself, grain against grain, to guide the grain. This can be done in a single direction to obtain fine lines or in several different directions.

The story behind

Part of a collection showcasing the regions of France, the Bastia is a wallet made from a single piece of leather and folded like origami. Featuring a snap closure, this chic and refined small leather item pays tribute to Hermès leather, while being both practical and functional. Put coins and folded bills inside and slip it into a bag or pocket. A wide range of colors and leathers is available for this small accessory.

    I use it for earbuds not coins. The snap holds them fine and it saves me digging around the bottom of my tote.

    Caramel Mysore has a lovely sheen to the grain, it looks warmer than a calfskin would in the same colour.

Togo in etain is such a practical combination that I feel a bit boring saying it. It works with navy, black, brown and cream, which covers most of my wardrobe. The 25 is heavier than it looks once loaded and after a full day of arm carry I notice. Still my most used bag by a mile.
