This printed leather takes its name from a town in south-east England that is famous for its horse races. Its fine, regular grain, obtained through machine-printing, has a striking, beautifully subtle dual tone.

First appeared in the collections: 2004

Appearance: Small, regular and slightly glossy grain; uniform; deep colors

Feel: Dry, with a slightly "up and down" grain

Hand: Round and firm

Change over time: Keeps its shape, scratch-resistant. The grain fades in areas exposed to a lot of contact or rubbing

The story behind

Part of a collection showcasing the regions of France, the Bastia is a wallet made from a single piece of leather and folded like origami. Featuring a snap closure, this chic and refined small leather item pays tribute to Hermès leather, while being both practical and functional. Put coins and folded bills inside and slip it into a bag or pocket. A wide range of colors and leathers is available for this small accessory.

    I've bought three of these over the years in different colours and jaune Milton is the one I actually reach for. Epsom means I can wipe it down when it's rolling around the bottom of a tote. No card slots at all though, so it won't replace a wallet.
