This printed leather takes its name from a town in south-east England that is famous for its horse races. Its fine, regular grain, obtained through machine-printing, has a striking, beautifully subtle dual tone.

First appeared in the collections: 2004

Appearance: Small, regular and slightly glossy grain; uniform; deep colors

Feel: Dry, with a slightly "up and down" grain

Hand: Round and firm

Change over time: Keeps its shape, scratch-resistant. The grain fades in areas exposed to a lot of contact or rubbing

The story behind

The Béarn pays tribute to the South-West region of France and is part of a collection featuring the names of different French regions. A wallet or card holder with a sleek design, it offers multiple compartments for credit cards, coins and bills. Once closed, a leather flap slides into an "H" shaped clasp and makes it a true classic. It offers a wide choice of leathers and colors to suit the latest trend.

Palladium on biscuit is cooler than gold would be and I think it keeps it from looking too dessert coloured.

Pale leather in a mini format means the corners are where you'll see wear first. Mine are slightly darker after a season of being in and out of pockets. The Epsom means I can wipe the flat surfaces though and it comes up clean.
