The story behind

Launched in 1967, the Constance bag - named after the creator’s daughter - gives its shape to the line of wallets revealing the ingenious H-shaped clasp: the central bar lifts up and releases the flap to open it.     Only complaint is the pale poussière side picks up colour from dark denim and there's a faint shadow on it after a month. The moka side is fine obviously. The change purse zip still runs clean and I like being able to pull it out.

    Evercolor is smooth with a slight shine, so the dusty side reads softer than it would in a pebbled leather.

A 30 in matte porosus is a serious object and I did not expect beton to be so wearable. It is a pale concrete grey that turns brownish in warm light. The scale pattern down the front is tight and even. I use it maybe six times a year and it lives on a shelf otherwise.
