The story behind

Designed in 1923 for top drivers and long-distance travelers, this globe-trotting bag slips easily into any trunk. The zip fastener, brought back from America by Émile Hermès at the end of the 1910s, give it its legendary round-angled shape, and allow for quick access to the content. The Bolide bag comes in a travel bag and many-sized handbags.

I have been carrying this instead of a proper bag on school runs and dog walks and it has been the most used thing I own this year. Evercolor scratches lightly but the marks buff out with a thumb. The strap at full 130 cm is long enough to go over a winter coat without a fight.

The curved zip on a Bolide is the whole reason I bought one, everything stays in and I never worry on the train. 25 by 20 by 10 is a proper day bag, and the strap that came with it means I can go across the body when I'm carrying other things. Bamboo is a yellow green and it does dictate what I wear with it, which is the only downside.
