Unlike other leathers, Epsom is an embossed leather, meaning its grain is pressed into the leather rather than being a natural feature. This gives it a rigid structure, making it highly scratch-resistant and easy to clean.

The story behind

Designed in 1923 for top drivers and long-distance travelers, this globe-trotting bag slips easily into any trunk. The zip fastener, brought back from America by Émile Hermès at the end of the 1910s, give it its legendary round-angled shape, and allow for quick access to the content. The Bolide bag comes in a travel bag and many-sized handbags.

    Epsom in pink keeps the Bolide shape properly domed. The softer leather versions slump and I did not want that.

    25 by 20 by 10 so it holds more than a Picotin and I can close it, which is the whole argument. The strap and lock set came with it but no box. I use the strap for errands and hand carry for anything nicer. Epsom wipes clean, which on a pink bag is not a small thing.
