These are the most precious and exclusive exotic leathers used by Hermès. Porosus crocodile and Niloticus crocodile feature symmetrical scales and come in shiny (Lisse) or matte finishes. Alligator comes from the Mississippi river and is renowned for its larger scales and intense color depth.

Appearance: Structured scales, either highly glazed or matte

Feel: Structured and textured

Hand: Rigid

Change over time: Develops a deep patina; shiny finish softens, while matte finish acquires a subtle glow

The story behind

Launched in 1967, the Constance bag - named after the creator’s daughter - gives its shape to the line of wallets revealing the ingenious H-shaped clasp: the central bar lifts up and releases the flap to open it. Perfect day-to-day companions, depending on their design, these wallets with contemporary features can be slipped into your bag, carried on the shoulder or worn as a belt.

I hunted for a special order Kelly for two years and gave up, then this one appeared. 28 is my size, holds a slim laptop and a pouch and my daughter's snacks. Epsom keeps the shape so it doesn't sag when empty. The brushed gold has stayed clean since 2021 which surprised me.
