The story behind

Launched in 1967, the Constance bag - named after the creator’s daughter - gives its shape to the line of wallets revealing the ingenious H-shaped clasp: the central bar lifts up and releases the flap to open it.     Epsom is stiff which is exactly what this shape needs. The H opens with a push and it has never once jammed on me.

    Elan is the long flat one and it changes the whole look. 25 across but only 5 deep so it lies against you instead of sticking out.

This is the full leather version in black and it is a serious amount of bag. 35 by 28 in Togo has real weight to it, which I knew going in and still underestimated. Loaded up with a laptop it is not a light thing to carry on one shoulder.

My husband picked this up while I was at work and left the orange box on the kitchen table like a psychopath. Anyway. The pink is very gentle, more petal than bubblegum, and the palladium keeps it from going too sweet. Wide open top does worry me on the metro though.

I got this second hand and it came with the strap and lock set but no box, which I expected. At 32 by 22 by 11.5 it takes a laptop sleeve and a folder easily. The canvas has held up better than the black Swift trim, which has darkened at the corners.
