The story behind

Launched in 1967, the Constance bag - named after the creator’s daughter - gives its shape to the line of wallets revealing the ingenious H-shaped clasp: the central bar lifts up and releases the flap to open it.     I already own a Constance 23 and told myself the Elan was too similar. It is not. The long flat shape sits completely differently under the arm and it does not stick out when I am on a crowded train. The mirror, receipt and felt came with it but no box, which I mildly resent.
