Unlike other leathers, Epsom is an embossed leather, meaning its grain is pressed into the leather rather than being a natural feature. This gives it a rigid structure, making it highly scratch-resistant and easy to clean.

The story behind

Launched in 1967, the Constance bag - named after the creator’s daughter - gives its shape to the line of wallets revealing the ingenious H-shaped clasp: the central bar lifts up and releases the flap to open it. Perfect day-to-day companions, depending on their design, these wallets with contemporary features can be slipped into your bag, carried on the shoulder or worn as a belt.

    I have a regular Constance and this one is a different animal. The extra width makes it read more evening than errand. Epsom keeps it rigid so it never flops when I set it down. Small mirror came in the box which I did not expect and now use constantly.

Vert peppermint in matte alligator is the prettiest thing I own and I say that as someone who does not usually go for exotics. The matte finish keeps the scales soft rather than glassy, and against palladium the mint goes almost grey in low light. Cites certificate came with it.
