Named after the English "Box" tanning technique, Box calfskin is the oldest leather in the Hermès catalog. It has a highly polished, glossy finish and a structured hand.

The story behind

Launched in 1967, the Constance bag - named after the creator’s daughter - gives its shape to the line of wallets revealing the ingenious H-shaped clasp: the central bar lifts up and releases the flap to open it. Perfect day-to-day companions, depending on their design, these wallets with contemporary features can be slipped into your bag, carried on the shoulder or worn as a belt.

    Bleu saphir in box calfskin is basically a jewel. It's so glossy that every light source in the room shows up in it, which is gorgeous and also means I can see two little scuffs on the back from where it sat against my belt. Patina is patina, I'm making peace with it.
