The story behind

Launched in 1967, the Constance bag - named after the creator’s daughter - gives its shape to the line of wallets revealing the ingenious H-shaped clasp: the central bar lifts up and releases the flap to open it. I use this as an evening bag and nothing else, partly because box calfskin terrifies me and partly because at 4.5 deep it doesn't hold enough for a day out. Phone, a card case and a lipstick. The gloss is the whole appeal, it catches candlelight in a way no other leather I own does. The little mirror in the box was a surprise.
