Named after Jonathan Swift, author of Gulliver's Travels, to highlight its resemblance to the now-discontinued Gulliver calfskin. Swift is a fine, semi-smooth leather that absorbs dye beautifully, resulting in radiant colors.

The story behind

Launched in 1967, the Constance bag - named after the creator’s daughter - gives its shape to the line of wallets revealing the ingenious H-shaped clasp: the central bar lifts up and releases the flap to open it. Perfect day-to-day companions, depending on their design, these wallets with contemporary features can be slipped into your bag, carried on the shoulder or worn as a belt.

    Mini Constance at 18.5 by 15 by 4.5 is a phone and cards bag and nothing more, which I knew going in. What I did not expect was how much I would like the tartan detail. Full set with the mirror, felt, shop card, receipt. The H clasp is stiff and needs breaking in.

    The tartan on the Swift is subtle. You only see the pattern properly when the light hits it sideways.

The Verrou mini is flat at 4 deep so it's a phone, a couple of cards and a thin lipstick. I wear it on the shoulder for lunches and it stays put rather than swinging around. Chevre is light and holds its shape which matters on something this small.
