The story behind

Della Cavalleria is a 17th century horse riding manual preserved at the Émile Hermès Museum, which has previously given its name to a silk scarf, and now refers to a truly innovative women's bag. Embracing the silhouette of a half bit, its jewel clasp closes the flap and shapes the curves of the bag, evoking the contour of Hermès saddles. The metal hasp on the bottom attaches the clasp to the minimalist mechanism for easy and subtle opening and closing. Thanks to an adjustable strap, the mini version of the bag can be worn on the shoulder or across the body.

Epsom version of the Della Cavalleria is much stiffer than the Tadelakt one and holds its shape better. Gold hardware makes the etoupe read warmer.

Got this one secondhand and the Epsom still stands up like new. The gold has a couple of faint marks, nothing you would ever spot.

I use it for dinners and the occasional daytime thing when I don't need much. Phone, thin card case, one lipstick. The Epsom means I don't panic when it touches a table edge, unlike some of my softer bags. Only a dustbag and a copy of the receipt came with mine.
