Named after the African country, reflecting the "Africa" theme of the year it was created (1997). Togo is a grained leather made from baby calf skin. It is extremely popular due to its scratch resistance and ability to hold its shape.

The story behind

Created in the 1930s, the Kelly bag was named in 1956 when Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco unveiled it to the world. Its shape and iconic details have since been adapted and redesigned to create small leather goods. Straps, claps, padlocks, leather bells and keys enhance wallets, coin purses or pouches that can be worn in many different ways.

Etoupe Togo has that pebbled grain that hides everything. Six months of daily use and I can't find a mark on it.

Retourne so it slouches a touch rather than standing to attention, which is what I wanted. 9.5 deep means a small water bottle stands up inside. Phone, cardholder, keys, a pouch and a folded tote all fit. I did have to accept that the flap fastening makes it slow to get into.

Only real gripe is the weight. Togo in a 25 is heavier than the Epsom Kellys I've handled.
