The story behind

Created in the 1930s, the Kelly bag was named in 1956 when Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco unveiled it to the world. Its shape and iconic details have since been adapted and redesigned to create small leather goods. Straps, claps, padlocks, leather bells and keys enhance wallets, coin purses or pouches that can be worn in many different ways.

Gold plating shows wear at the touret edge if you are rough with it. Mine is fine but I am careful.

Gold on gold is the combination I kept coming back to. Warm brown Togo, warm yellow hardware, nothing cold anywhere on it. I tried the palladium version in the shop and it looked like a different bag entirely. This one won without much of a fight.
