Unlike other leathers, Epsom is an embossed leather, meaning its grain is pressed into the leather rather than being a natural feature. This gives it a rigid structure, making it highly scratch-resistant and easy to clean.

The story behind

Created in the 1930s, the Kelly bag was named in 1956 when Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco unveiled it to the world. Its shape and iconic details have since been adapted and redesigned to create small leather goods. Straps, claps, padlocks, leather bells and keys enhance wallets, coin purses or pouches that can be worn in many different ways.

    This replaced a Togo Kelly that had gone soft on me. Epsom holds its shape so the flap always closes flat and the gold plaque sits proud. Downside is that the leather feels a bit like a shell, there is no give at all, so overpacking is not an option.

Lime is a bright acid green and I bought it as a summer bag with no expectation of using it much, and then I used it constantly. Swift body with matte croc gives the little bag some structure where it needs it. Strap runs 100 to 105 so it's low across the body on me. Palladium keeps the green from looking like a toy.
