The story behind

Created in the 1930s, the Kelly bag was named in 1956 when Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco unveiled it to the world. Its shape and iconic details have since been adapted and redesigned to create small leather goods. Straps, claps, padlocks, leather bells and keys enhance wallets, coin purses or pouches that can be worn in many different ways.

    The verso lining is jaune ambre and it is much brighter than the outside so opening it feels like a small event. Epsom means the corners are sharp and it stands on the desk unaided. 9.5 deep sounds thin but I fit a slim wallet, a compact, keys and a phone with the flap still closing properly.
