The story behind

Created in the 1930s, the Kelly bag was named in 1956 when Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco unveiled it to the world. Its shape and iconic details have since been adapted and redesigned to create small leather goods. Straps, claps, padlocks, leather bells and keys enhance wallets, coin purses or pouches that can be worn in many different ways.

Ruthenium hardware is darker than palladium and on black Box calf the whole bag almost disappears.

This is a Square D from 2000 and the Box calf has that deep glossy patina you only get with age. There are hairlines across the front which I refuse to be upset about. Came with the dustbag, padlock and strap and nothing else, which is fair for its age.
