Named after Jonathan Swift, author of Gulliver's Travels, to highlight its resemblance to the now-discontinued Gulliver calfskin. Swift is a fine, semi-smooth leather that absorbs dye beautifully, resulting in radiant colors.

The story behind

Originally created in the 1930s by Robert Dumas as a 'Sac à dépêches', the bag achieved legendary status in 1956 when Grace Kelly, the Princess of Monaco, used it to shield her pregnancy from paparazzi. Hermès subsequently renamed the bag the 'Kelly'.

    I wear this on my back at markets and across the body the rest of the time. Swift makes it slump completely when it is empty, hence the pillow. At W22...More
    I wear this on my back at markets and across the body the rest of the time. Swift makes it slump completely when it is empty, hence the pillow. At W22 by H17 by D7.5 it takes a phone, a flat wallet and keys and that is about the honest limit.
