The story behind

Originally created in the 1930s by Robert Dumas as a 'Sac à dépêches', the bag achieved legendary status in 1956 when Grace Kelly, the Princess of Monaco, used it to shield her pregnancy from paparazzi. Hermès subsequently renamed the bag the 'Kelly'.

There are marks. Of course there are marks, it is white and nearly twenty years old. The base has some greying at the corners and one handle is slightly darker than the other. None of that stopped me. The 30 shape in Epsom still stands up straight and that is the bit I cared about.

Took it as my personal item on a long flight and it slid under the seat with room to spare. 11 of depth means a kindle, a scarf and a water bottle standing upright. Togo came off the plane looking untouched, which is more than I can say for me.
