Introduced in 2018, Monsieur is a smooth, firm leather with a tight grain and a satiny finish. It is a tribute to Box calfskin, often referred to as the king of leathers.

The story behind

Created in the 1930s, the Kelly bag was named in 1956 when Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco unveiled it to the world. Its shape and iconic details have since been adapted and redesigned to create small leather goods. Straps, claps, padlocks, leather bells and keys enhance wallets, coin purses or pouches that can be worn in many different ways.

    Rouge H is a dark wine red, much deeper than people expect from a red, and Monsieur leather is stiff and matte so it looks almost like it's carved.

Loaded it's heavy and my shoulder isn't the issue, it's the hand carry. I wear a coat with it so the handles don't dig. Older bag, 2014, and the Togo has softened into something quite slouchy at the sides which I prefer to new and stiff.
