The story behind

Designed in 1923 for top drivers and long-distance travelers, this globe-trotting bag slips easily into any trunk. The zip fastener, brought back from America by Émile Hermès at the end of the 1910s, give it its legendary round-angled shape, and allow for quick access to the content. The Bolide bag comes in a travel bag and many-sized handbags.

    Gold in Evercolor has a slight sheen that Togo doesn't. Lighter in the hand too, which on a mini matters more than you'd think.

    Palladium with the tan is a colder mix than gold hardware would be and I went back and forth for weeks. Ended up loving it. It stops the bag looking too safe and it has not tarnished at all since 2020.
