Named in tribute to the daughter of the designer who introduced it into the collections, this leather was developed for luggage and is the ultimate example of a grained leather that has been drummed. This process softens the skin and brings a generous grain to the surface.

First appeared in the collections: 1992

Appearance: Semi-matt, generous and irregular grain

The story behind

Designed in 1978 by Evelyne Bertrand, then head of the Hermès equestrian department, the bag was originally created to carry horse grooming tools. The perforated 'H' logo was designed to allow the tools to dry quickly.

    112cm across the body means I never touch it once it's on. I have worn it through two airports and a full day of walking and my shoulders were fine.
