The story behind

Created in the 1930s, the Kelly bag was named in 1956 when Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco unveiled it to the world. Its shape and iconic details have since been adapted and redesigned to create small leather goods. Straps, claps, padlocks, leather bells and keys enhance wallets, coin purses or pouches that can be worn in many different ways.

Wore it to a birthday dinner across the body with the strap and spent half the night explaining what the studs were. A bit of a costume piece, honestly, but the box calf underneath is so glossy that it still reads properly Hermès rather than novelty.
