Ostrich skin is a precious leather identifiable by its follicles, from which feathers grow. Hermès flattens these follicles and triples the skin to create a material with a unique, two-tone appearance.

The story behind

This timeless and minimalist bindle is inspired by horse feeders and is equipped with a discreet padlock. It takes its name from an old French term for the measure of oats given to a horse. The Picotin is the perfect equestrian escort, available in unlined leather that showcases the material; or in canvas and leather with outside pockets for a light, casual and functional wear.

Vert mangrove is deep enough to work as a neutral. I wear it with navy, black and brown and it does not fight any of them. The 25 gets heavy once loaded because Togo is dense, but the permabrass does not show fingerprints the way palladium does on my other bags, which I did not anticipate liking so much.
