The story behind

Created in the 1930s, the Kelly bag was named in 1956 when Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco unveiled it to the world. Its shape and iconic details have since been adapted and redesigned to create small leather goods. Straps, claps, padlocks, leather bells and keys enhance wallets, coin purses or pouches that can be worn in many different ways.

It is a mini so realistically it holds a phone and a card case. I use it for dinners and carry a tote for everything else.

I put the request in and then more or less forgot about it, which is the only way to survive a special order. When it came the noir and gris perle panels looked less contrasty than I had imagined and I ended up preferring that. Matte alligator with palladium, nothing shiny, very quiet for a bag this rare.
