This printed leather takes its name from a town in south-east England that is famous for its horse races. Its fine, regular grain, obtained through machine-printing, has a striking, beautifully subtle dual tone.

First appeared in the collections: 2004

Appearance: Small, regular and slightly glossy grain; uniform; deep colors

Feel: Dry, with a slightly "up and down" grain

Hand: Round and firm

Change over time: Keeps its shape, scratch-resistant. The grain fades in areas exposed to a lot of contact or rubbing

    Gold Epsom with palladium is a cooler pairing than gold on gold and I think it keeps the wallet from looking too safe.

    Saddle stitching on the edges is neat enough that I checked it under a lamp like a weirdo. Bought this after my SA mentioned it was in, having never even heard of the Maillon. Now it's the one I use daily and the Bearn sits in a drawer.

I did not know what Vibrato was before I saw this and now I want everything made from it. The edges look almost like a book block. Chocolate Box calf on the handles and base keeps it from looking like a craft project. At 31 it holds plenty and the zip top means nothing falls out.
